Numbers matter, and behind every number, there is a story.

While each life that we impact is so much more than just a number, we also believe that the data have a story to tell as well. This is why we participate in national reporting to The National Database of sheltered animal statistics, a project of Shelter Animals Count, an independent, collaborative nonprofit formed to create and share data and facts to enable insights that will save lives. We believe having accurate and understanding the trends behind the numbers in our industry is imperative to help us be able to help even more.

The below numbers reflect our data as reported to Shelter Animals Count, starting in January 2016. SOSARL was founded and began operations in July 2014. By changing the Filters on the below tool, you can now view and interact with our rescue data, as well as expand your data review to demographic and economic data by community and participating organizations across the country.
