Come meet some of our AMAZING dogs IN ACTION! We will have over 15 dogs to meet and snuggle with! Be ready for some kisses, and LOTS of CUTENESS!
Do you have a particular dog of interest? Don’t wait until the event to get the adoption process started. Submit your SOS application at sosarl.org/adopt at least three days in advance to start the pre-screening process and save time at the event.
Please plan to bring your entire family to the event. If you have a resident dog(s) and he is up to date on all shots, please bring him/her for a meet and greet and someone to handle him outside, as he can’t come inside until the vet check has been completed and a private meeting is scheduled. If you aren’t pre-screened, please bring all vetting records and history for your resident dog(s). Respectful children are always welcome when actively supervised by a legal guardian.
The adoption matchmaking process is a collaborative effort between the adopter and SOS volunteers. Once a dog of interest is identified, many individuals may be involved in the process, including you/your household, your adoption counselor, the foster home, your current pet(s), and an SOS trainer. We have many years and thousands of matches of experience and are committed to using our knowledge to creating successful outcomes. We have chosen to work with and inherently trust our adopters (as you do us), but we will also not hesitate to share concerns about a match, as we have everyone’s best interests at heart. Pre-screened status does not guarantee adoption of any particular dog, nor availability of any particular dog. We like to share this process overview with everyone attending our adoption events so we all have aligned expectations.
