Newport, RI, August 26, 2018. Lots of laughs, drinks and fun were had at our Funny 4 Fido event on August 25th, 2018 at the Newport Blues Cafe. Over 100 supporters joined Save One Soul Animal League for the evening and together, we raised almost $5,000 for the animals!!!

Entertainment for the evening included comedians Jay Are Adams, Brad Pierce, and Jim Collito. Even SOS’s very own Melissa Kroll of Bad Dog Basics had a comedic cameo appearance! We also had a surprise visit from Fido himself

Featured four-legged guests of the evening were adoptable Lindsey Range, Red Range and Teddy.

VIP guests of the evening included Melissa Kroll and Gail Kroll of Bad Dog Basics, SOS’s go-to training and doggie playdate service providers, and Kenny & Erika Banalewicz of Dave’s Marketplace, SOS’s Bottomless Bowl donor. Without supporters [and adopters!] like these, we could not do what we do!

We’d like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who joined us for this evening and helped make it such a fun success and congratulations to all of our raffle and silent auction winners.

SPECIAL THANKS to Newport Blues Cafe for providing the backdrop to a wonderful evening. Courtney Sullivan, owner of Newport Blues Cafe, is a two-time SOS adopter. Not only has her family given two of our rescue dogs fabulous homes and lives, she generously offered her establishment to host this event and, upon winning the 50/50 raffle, donated her winnings back to SOS!
