- Smart Start Gear - For safety, comfort and success, every SOS dog is fitted with a martingale collar, SOS ID tag, no-pull harness (for dogs 6 months and up), and 4 foot nylon leash.
- Microchip - All our dogs are microchipped prior to adoption with FREE lifetime registration through 24PetWatch.
- Pet Insurance - 30 Days of FREE Pet Insurance Coverage through Trupanion with no waiting period. See post-adoption kit for instructions and additional details.
- SOS reTAIL Adoption Savings Card - All adopters are sent home with this amazing savings card for purchases at SOS reTAIL, our full supply pet supply store in Wakefield, RI, where 100% of profits go back to helping at-risk animals!
- 20% Off Supplies - Adopters get 20% off of their purchase at SOS reTAIL on adoption day when they present their savings card provided at the time of dog transfer.
- FREE Welcome Home Bundle - All adopters are eligible for a FREE welcome home bundle including over $100 worth in free products; this can be picked up at SOS reTAIL within one year after adoption.
- FREE Doggie Self Wash - With their adoption savings card, all adopters are eligible for a free dog self wash at SOS reTAIL.

- Personal Post-Adoption Support - Even after we send a dog home with an adopter, we are here to support the match! - Insider Mailing List - When you adopt with SOS, you are added to our email newsletter which will keep you in-the-know about our upcoming special events, special deals and promos at SOS reTAIL, and other SOSARL and SOS reTAIL activities.
- Facebook Littermate Groups - When we place large litters, we often create private Facebook Groups for the adopters (and fosters) to stay in touch and share updates. We have over 50 active litter groups, many of whom have coordinated numerous littermate reunions!
