Happy Tail: Luna
“We’ve had a crazy year – Luna and I drove across the country to relocate from Rhode Island to Seattle, Washington last November. She was my savior during the 10+ hour days of driving when I had no one else to keep me company. She met many of her cousins visiting friends and family along the way and had a blast playing with them. The best part of this journey was how much it strengthened our bond – she became so much more trusting than she was her first year with me. She now enjoys belly rubs and occasional hugs, which would have been unthinkable a year ago, and seems to understand that I’m her human for life. Six months ago her dad (my boyfriend) and her cat brother joined us here in Seattle, and we all couldn’t be happier with our little family. Luna is still getting used to being a city dog, but she loves playing with her neighbors in the dog run behind our apartment, as well as going on long walks with me in quieter neighborhoods. She has learned some manners and a few tricks, and we are working every day to improve. People are still surprised to learns she’s not a puppy – at 4-4 1/2 years old, she still acts like she’s 6 months!
Thank you all for everything you do, and for bringing this bouncy bundle of joy into my life! I can’t imagine having adopted any other dog, she was and is truly the perfect one.”
