Oswald is doing great!  He keeps us on our toes with typical puppy behavior, but he also has us laughing all the time.  He’s basically housebroken (it took awhile for us to get comfortable with saying that….he certainly got the idea that he was supposed to go outside quickly, but the fact that meant he wasn’t supposed to go inside as well took a little longer).  He still is nervous about some things – mostly car rides, so we’re trying to get him more comfortable with it by taking quick rides to the park where we go on walks.  He loves to come outside with us while we swim but steers clear of the pool….he’s happy to chew on sticks and leaves and chase bugs.
He adores the kids (and vice versa) and gets along well with our 12 year old doxie.  The older doxie (14) isn’t really a fan of his puppy energy and sometimes snaps at him, but at the end of the day, they all get along.  When the dogs play together Oswald loves to get them riled up and then he tears around the house – that’s great because it gets his energy out and our older dogs don’t have to do much “work” to play!  Oswald’s favorite place to hide is under our coffee table, but I worry he won’t fit there much longer!
