Happy Tails Update: Paisley (formerly Nita)

Paisley and her siblings ended up in a shelter and were taken in by our rescue. Paisley is now safe and sound in her loving forever home. Paisley’s new family are just thrilled to have her in their home. Here is her new family’s story about how they  adopted this amazing girl:

“Our life once again is complete after adopting Nita now called Paisley.  We were dog lovers/owners who had lost our lab Gracie 18 months ago due to kidney failure.  We did all that we could for her, including subcutaneous therapy every night for 7 months.  She eventually got a virus/cold that ultimately made her too weak to fight and she died on what would’ve been her 14 birthday.  Her little sister Lily a rescued beagle that  was dropped in the neighborhood when she was a pup, was diagnosed just about a year ago now with cancer of the urethra , like her sister we did all that we could for her including meeting and a veterinary oncologist and we proceeded with chemo, she responded well to the chemo with little to no side effects, but unfortunately it didn’t help with the cancer spreading to her bones and we couldn’t watch her suffer any longer, so July 2014 we lost our beloved Lily at the age of 14.  It was 5 months without a fur ever family member and we had been talking about getting another lab, when my next door neighbor who was fostering Paisley tagged me in her post and I can honestly say it was love at first sight.  This little ball of fire is the love of our lives.  She has won the hearts of everyone she meets and her favorite past times are visiting local dog parks, going for rides and honestly just being where ever we are.  We can’t thank Save One Soul Animal Rescue League enough for choosing us to be Paisley’s parents. ”
