Super Dog Adoption Day – Fall 2024
On Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, Save One Soul Animal Rescue League participated in Super Dog Adoption Day hosted by Always Adopt at Clark Farms in Matunuck, RI. This multi-rescue adoption event happens twice a year and helps find homes for hundreds of dogs. During this year’s fall event, 257 dogs found forever homes!
There is a lot of preparation that goes into such an event including in the weeks and days prior. On Friday, November 1st, a large group of our incredible volunteers welcomed 33 dogs into Rhode Island and got them ready for the big day. The day was filled with lots of playtime, snacks, and puppy cuddles!
The pups were transported in the morning to Clark Farms ahead of doors opening for pre-screened adopters at 9:30am.
Early Entry Golden Ticket holders were waiting in line for the doors to officially open for those who signed up for the early access. This is always a smart move allowing perspective adopters to meet the most dogs when looking for a match. Our volunteers were hard at work making sure all of the pups were well taken care of.
Lily Cambridge, a 10 year old French Bulldog, captured everyone’s hearts when she arrived to RI the day before the event. Lily had been a stray who was collected by a local animal control and our partner, Wiley’s Road Home, helped pull from the shelter. It was love at first sight with her new mom, Jenn, and she hit it off with her resident dog too! Such a great match.
SOS reTAIL was on site all day with our pop-up shop, providing adopters with an easy spot to grab some essentials before heading home with their new additions.
257 dogs in total from multiple rescue organizations found their forever homes on this day! Clark Farms is such a great venue, and Always Adopt organizes one heck of an event every fall there for us rescues to have an opportunity to find homes for so many incredible pets.
