HAPPY TAILS: INDIGO
My partner Alex and I wanted to reach back out to update you all on Indigo Scribble as we just celebrated one year with her this past weekend. We had spent a few months scanning PetFinder and local rescue pages before finding Indigo, and she has proven to be even better than her almost-too-good-to-believe adoption description. Despite needing to work through some initial mild, though loud, separation distress, Indie has been the perfect addition to our family. A DNA test confirmed she is indeed a doodle—50% standard poodle and 50% airedale terrier. She loves to spot the local squirrels and chase other pups at the dog park. She joins us for drinks downtown, hikes in the woods, and playtime with our nieces who adore her. Even our dog sitters joke about keeping her—though there was one incident in which she escaped from a dog sitter and ran five blocks through the city back to our apartment! Indie loves the snow and the cold of New England, prancing all the way through hour-long walks in the middle of January. She is our sweet grumbly girlie, an award-winning snuggler, and the owner of our hearts. We will never be able to properly thank you and your volunteers for all the time and effort it took to bring Indie into our lives. As a small sign of thanks, please enjoy the attached photos of our girl Indigo.
